Candido Camero

Candido Camero
(From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Candido de Guerra Camero, also known simply as Candido (born April 22, 1921) is a Cuban percussionist (mainly conga and bongo) who backed many Afro-Cuban jazz and straightforward jazz acts since the 1950s. He is credited as the first person to use the congas in jazz music.
Early on he had recorded in his native Cuba with Machito. He moved to New York in 1952 and started recording with Dizzy Gillespie. During 1953-54 he was in the Billy Taylor quartet and in 1954 he performed and recorded with Stan Kenton.
He also enjoyed some hits during the disco era, most notably with the Babatunde Olatunji penned track "Jingo" which he recorded for Salsoul Records, which released from his Dancin' and Prancin' album. It peaked at #55 in the UK Singles Chart in July 1981.
On January 15, 2009 he was the surprise guest at Zinc, a jazz club in New York's Greenwich Village.
He was honoured with the National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters Award in 2008.

IZ

Israel Kamakawiwo'Ole
(May 20, 1959 – June 26, 1997)

This is my tribute to Iz, a famous Hawaiian musician.
He became famous outside Hawaii when his album Facing Future was released in 1993. His medley of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "What a Wonderful World"
was subsequently featured in several films, television programs, and commercials.
Through his consummate ukulele playing and incorporation of other genres (such as jazz and reggae),
Iz remains one of the major influences in Hawaiian music over the last 15 years.

"Please!!! Vote for me!!!" ★★★★☆

Love Serge!

This is my tribute to Serge Gainsbourg, my favorite french pop artist.

Gainsbourg was a French singer-songwriter, actor and director. Gainsbourg's extremely varied musical style and individuality make him difficult to categorize. His legacy has been firmly established, and he is often regarded as one of the world's most influential popular musicians.

A feature film entitled "Serge Gainsbourg (Vie Héroïque)" was recently released in France in January 2010.

It's also time for me to draw Brigitte Bardot, there was a long time I want to draw her, but I never know how to draw her… I think nude is so right isn't it?
